"We booked Megan after seeing our friends beautiful family photos. We just received our gallery and wow, the photos are incredible! Megan captured the essence of our family perfectly.
She made an instant connection with our shy children and made us all feel at ease. She was very professional and made the whole process very easy.
We can’t recommend Megan highly enough!!"

Kind words from Jacinta

FAQs

In general, I can book out a few months in advance but last minute sessions do pop up on occasion. Follow me on Instagram to catch when these sessions pop up in my stories.
For newborn sessions, the sooner the better. But I understand how easy it is to leave this task until the last minute or think you don’t need a session, only to regret it down the track. Believe me, I know! I did it myself! It’s because of this, I’ll always try to fit you in… even if bub has already arrived.

I’m based in Doreen, located in Melbourne’s outer North East, so you’ll commonly find me in suburbs including Eltham, Yarrambat, Montmorency, Whittlesea, Mernda, Wollert, South Morang, Hurstbridge, Diamond Creek, Greensborough and Lower Plenty… just to name a few. However, I travel all over Melbourne and surrounding towns. You may receive a small fee if I’m travelling beyond 40 minutes from Doreen.

For newborns, it’s a no brainer - we do it at your home. It’s a lot more comfortable for bub with a controlled temp, no wind and a comfy place to sleep.
With any other session, it just depends on the season, your interests and the age of your kids. Many families are hesitant to book sunset sessions due to the late nights for their young kids. If that is a concern, consider a session in the cooler months when the sun sets a whole lot earlier.

It’s just after sunrise or just before sunset. The light is just so magical… all soft and glowy. It makes for really flattering images. However I can photograph your family at any time of day. This just means we need to get a little more creative with the light.
For in-home newborn sessions, I suggest mid morning. This is when the light is best in most homes and when older siblings are usually their liveliest.

Around 90 minutes for family sessions and 2 hours for newborns. It just gives us a little more flexibility if bub is wanting to feed more than usual or doesn’t want to settle.

Absolutely! It makes me sad to think we don’t even consider documenting our kids with a photographer beyond the early years. So 100x yes! Teenagers, adulthood, even when you get that pensioner card!

Either the night before or the morning of your session, we’ll make a final call on whether we move forward with the session. If it’s raining or there are gusty winds, then we postpone or we can go to your home earlier in the day instead.

I want you to be comfortable and dress as you usually would so there isn’t a lot that I would say to avoid. However, I understand that making these choices can be overwhelming, particularly if you’re after a look that’s a little more balanced that the usual chuck-on-what-you-can-find outfit. So when you book with me, you’ll receive a session guide that has a whole section on what to wear, eliminating the decision paralysis.

It’s in the works as we speak. And when it’s up and running, I’ll be including a print voucher to many of my collections, encouraging you to print your memories and display them for the family to enjoy.

Yes, I do. With these sessions, they’re a little longer to give time for ALL the different combinations; whole group, mini sessions for each family, individual portraits and a whole lot of candid play shots. These sessions are a set cost of $1200 with all digital images included. Why not split the cost with the siblings? They make great gifts for parents or grandparents.

I do offer maternity sessions as part of a collection with a newborn session - the bump and the baby. I encourage you to have this photography session around the 34-36 week mark of your pregnancy, while you’re still feeling pretty good but not so uncomfortable that you’d rather kick your feet up than capture that beautiful bump of yours.

Sure can! Drop me a line, let me know when and where you’re travelling and we can work out a plan.
