Family sessions are all about celebrating life with your favourite people in the places you love most. Whether we’re at home or exploring outdoors, you’ll laugh, play and spend time together while I capture the moments unfolding around you.
My approach blends documentary and lifestyle photography. I’ll guide you when needed, but mostly it’s about letting your family be yourselves. We can plan activities, capture your daily routines, or let the day flow naturally. No need for a spotless house or perfectly co-ordinated outfits. Life as it is right now is more than enough.
My goal is to see your family the way you do and capture the little details that mean the most. You won’t be a bystander or stuck behind the camera. You’ll be right there in the middle of it all — exactly where your kids want you to be.
Years from now, these photos will bring you straight back to this season of life.

Family photography sessions are all about being with your favourite people in your favourite place. I’ll either come to your home or meet you somewhere outdoors, you’ll play, laugh and create beautiful memories while I capture an honest account of what I see unfolding in front of me.
My style is a mix of documentary and lifestyle photography. I'll offer prompts to guide you through the session, ensuring you feel supported without losing the freedom to just be yourselves. All you need to do is love on those kids of yours. We can plan some activities, capture your everyday routine or simply let the day unfold organically. There’s no need to clean your home from top to toe or coordinate your outfits, because we want to remember life as it is, right now.
My aim is to see your family the way you see them and capture all small, meaningful details you want to hold on to. You won't be a bystander or trapped behind the camera – you'll be right there with your loved ones, enjoying this time together because your kids want to see you in those photos too.
Years from now, you’ll sit down together, flick through the family album and remember exactly how you felt during a time that flew by way too quickly.

Megan does more than traditional family photos, she captures an emotion and a relationship. She took so many great photos it was hard to choose. It was our first time in front of a camera together so I was unsure of how everyone would behave, but Megan made it so fun and relaxed, it was an absolute joy.
Her images are beautiful, when I look at them I can feel that moment. We have tonnes of iphone photos of the kids but very few as a family, I am so glad we did our family photo shoot with Megan.

Family sessions are relaxed and usually last around 1–1.5 hours, taking place either in your home or outdoors.
Sessions are $750 and include 15 images of your choice from your gallery.
Once your gallery is ready, you’ll also have the option to purchase more images if you wish.

How It Works
Around three weeks after your session, you’ll receive your online gallery where you can choose your favourite images.
From there you can download your photos, order prints, or upgrade your gallery if you fall in love with more.

Before the day, I’ll send through your session guide so you know exactly what to expect. We’ll also have a quick chat in the week leading up to your photoshoot so I can get to know your family and answer any questions you may have.
On the day, all you need to do is show up and spend time together. Run around, have a laugh, cuddle your kids and enjoy being a family. I’ll be there capturing it all as it naturally unfolds.

In general, I can book out a few months in advance but last minute sessions do pop up on occasion. Follow me on Instagram to catch when these sessions pop up in my stories.
For newborn sessions, the sooner the better. But I understand how easy it is to leave this task until the last minute or think you don’t need a session, only to regret it down the track. Believe me, I know! I did it myself! It’s because of this, I’ll always try to fit you in… even if bub has already arrived.
I’m now based in Romsey, in the beautiful Macedon Ranges, and photograph families right across the region — from Gisborne, Lancefield and Woodend to Kyneton, Sunbury and beyond. I also return to Melbourne regularly, particularly for sessions in the north including Doreen, Mernda, Donnybrook, Kalkallo, Eltham, Mernda and Hurstbridge.
Travel is included for sessions within the Macedon Ranges. A small travel fee may apply for locations more than an hour from 3434.
For newborns, it’s a no brainer - we do it at your home. It’s a lot more comfortable for bub with a controlled temp, no wind and a comfy place to sleep.
For family sessions, it's up to you! I personally have a soft spot for in home sessions as it captures your life and the home emphasises your unqiue style. Outdoor sessions are a lot of fun too, particularly when you go somewhere familiar or a great place to explore as a family. We can always talk through the options and choose the best fit for you.
We can make anything during daylight hours work for an outdoor session. But if you're wanting the most beautiful, flattering light, you can't go past Golden Hour. It’s just after sunrise or just before sunset. The light is just so magical… all soft and glowy.
In-home session (including newborn sessions), the bonus is that it can be any time of day, regardless of the weather. Personally, I love mid morning. This is when the light is best in most homes and when big brothers and sisters are usually their happiest.
Family sessions run for 1-1.5 hours. We're not in any rush. Some kids need a little more warm up time so I cater for this in the time we spend together. If you'd like a long session to document more of your every day, reach out and we'll sort something out!
Absolutely! It makes me sad to think we don’t even consider documenting our kids with a photographer beyond the early years. So 1000x yes! Teenagers, adulthood, even when you get that pensioner card!
Either the night before or the morning of your session, we’ll make a final call on whether we move forward with an outdoor session. If it’s raining or there are gusty winds, then we postpone or we can go to your home earlier in the day instead.
The beauty of in-home sessions - no weather issues. Doesn't matter if it's overcast or raining. I'll always find light.
I want you to be comfortable and dress as you usually would so there isn’t a lot that I would say to avoid. However, I understand that making these choices can be overwhelming, particularly if you’re after a look that’s a little more balanced that the usual chuck-on-what-you-can-find outfit. So when you book with me, you’ll receive a session guide that has a whole section on what to wear, eliminating the decision paralysis.
I certainly do! There's nothing quite like holding a photograph in your hands or seeing your kids look at themselves proudly framed on your wall. They create a visual legacy that won't get lost on your phone or computer. I use the best photographic labs around to provide you with long lasting prints and beautiful keepsakes which you have the option of purchasing through your gallery.
Whichever way you choose to print, all I ask is for you to choose a high quality lab. It makes all the difference.
Yes, I do. Extended family sessions are a beautiful way to capture multiple generations together and often become some of the most treasured photos.
Because these sessions involve photographing several family groups and combinations, an additional $100 per family unit applies. This keeps the session relaxed while allowing time to capture everyone properly.
